'Basketball Wives' star Tami Roman released from hospital for health scare

"Basketball Wives" star Tami Roman is grateful today after being released from a Houston hospital for a serious health scare. According to Vh1.com, Tami was suffering from dehydration and fell into a diabetic shock, which left her unconscious. She was discovered by her daughter who called 911. Roman was rushed to a Houston hospital where she was recovering until her release yesterday.

Tami lives with diabetes and juggling a hectic work schedule may have contributed to her recent medical scare. Tami is extremely busy managing several projects simultaneously. For starters, she is presently running her own cosmetic line and writing a book. Per her publicist's statement, she is returning to her acting roots and is "currently filming two TV shows". Tami is cast in a new television show produced by Steven Spielberg titled "Extant". She just inked a deal for a her own reality TV spin-off called, "Tami’s Empire". On top of her demanding work schedule, she has an overloaded traveling agenda.

Her publicist released a statement yesterday about the reality TV star’s condition stating, “She is rehabilitating in a private hospital in Houston, TX. and is expected to make a full recovery”. Once the news hit social media, an outpouring of support and well-wishes from fans came flooding in. Tami took to her Twitter page thanking family, friends and fans for their support and prayers. “Thank you to all family & friends for the get well wishes, prayers and flowers. I’ll be home soon, “she tweets.

Tami suffered a mild heart attack back in 2012 due to stress. Since then, she has been taking her health a lot more seriously. She landed a few endorsement deals with Quick trim and NV Clinical, which are weight-loss supplements that helped her drop a significant amount of weight. Fan’s can breathe a sigh of relief knowing her health is not an issue.

Tami's new show, "Extant", premiers on CBS sometime in the summer. No word yet on when her spin-off will air.
