Basketball Wives” star Evelyn Lozada left the spotlight for a while after she filed for divorce from Chad Ochocinco. She had filmed the show “Ev & Ocho” before the wedding, but the show was never aired because she filed for divorce just 41 days later. If that wasn’t enough, she didn’t want to set a bad example for women in abused relationships, so she went underground for a while after Chad head-butted her. However, she moved on and found love again. According to a new Wetpaint Entertainment report published on Feb. 20, “Basketball Wives” star Evelyn Lozada is now revealing that Carl Crawford may just have saved her life.

“I thought my life was over,” she has revealed to “Life & Style” magazine recently. Not only did her marriage to Chad end, but her brother-in-law Anthony also passed away shortly after her wedding. He had been battling cancer and she did talk about his struggle on “Basketball Wives” prior to getting married.

One can imagine that it must be hard to deal with these losses in one year. But she is glad to have experienced it and moved on. “That entire incident ... led me to where I am now,” she says. She is currently expecting her second child, a little boy. And she feels “lucky and really, really blessed” for what she has now. “He came into my life at a perfect time,” Evelyn says “Everything that happened makes me appreciate him 1,000 times more and he also makes me a better person.”

Carl probably doesn’t want to film a reality show, but Evelyn is happy and has moved on from the drama. What do you think of her thoughts on her new life?
