“Basketball Wife” Evelyn Lozada can now add fitness blogger to her bucket list. The voluptuous reality star announced on Twitter Friday that she’s joining The Huffington Post, blogging about health and fitness-related issues. Highlighting the benefits of feeling and looking good on vacation, the VH1 alum targets those who want to tighten their physiques for summer fun.

She offers practical tips for revving up a healthy lifestyle – the first of which involves stripping your pantry of all those tempting leftover goodies. Other metabolism-boosting hints are included. The spicy VH1 star's practical advice appears to have worked for her; the announcement features a photo in which she flaunts her toned physique in tight athletic gear on a heavily wooded trail.

Evelyn’s foray into fitness follows a troubling time in the media. She made headlines last year for her short-lived marriage to former NFL player Chad “Ochocinco” Johnson (who continues to fight legal issues). Their union came to an end when he physically assaulted her during an argument in July 2012. Last month, TMZ released photos of her resulting injuries. Evelyn had a frank discussion about her relationship with Chad during a two-part installment of Iyanla Vanzant’s “Fix My Life” docu-series two months later.

The Huffington Post blog appears to mark an upturn for the controversial reality star, who returns for a fifth season of VH1’s “Basketball Wives” on Aug. 19. Lozada, who graces the cover of Latina magazine’s August edition, has also launched a foundation for domestic abuse, Pain is Not Love.
