Basketball Wives Miami, has given Jennifer Williams, Royce Reed, and Kesha Nichols the axe and therefore, these cast members will not be returning for season five. According to TMZ sources, Shaunie O’Neal decided to stay, but chose to drop the dead weight from the show.
Is it really a surprise to see these members get the axe? Let’s look at Royce during season four. Royce had sort of been out of the picture, only associating with a few of the ladies. During season four, we didn’t see Reese dinning, traveling, or partying with the group of ladies. We mainly saw Royce issues with her dad and a boyfriend; therefore; the show apparently decided it was best for Royce to live out her life’s reality outside of the Basketball Wives cameras.
Jennifer Williams, just about the entire season four, Jennifer was running and staying away from the group of ladies, only meeting up with a few in the group. Apparently, after the big blow up and slap Jennifer endured from Evelyn’s friend/assistant, she decided she would suit and apparently this did not sit well with the producers of the show who felt she had become a liability.
Kesha Nichols was apparently axed because she just simply wasn’t giving the show much. She would often avoid confrontations that could possibly lead to fights. I thought it was good she avoided fights, but maybe the show just felt she was sort of boring and therefore; decided to drop her as well.
There are talks that the show is looking for some new cast members to replace the ladies that have been dropped from the show, but at this point, there has not been any final decision on who may replace the ladies.
