"Basketball Wives LA" has an official season two premiere date. Set to kick off in September, the series will follow the lives of women including Jackie Christie, Gloria Govan, Malaysia Pargo, Laura Govan and Draya Michele.
With a Monday, September 10 premiere in mind, Jackie Christie is looking forward to the return of the series and showcasing her very real marriage with Doug Christie.
"You're going to see my husband actually does rebuttal me on certain things," Christie said of season two in an interview regarding reality television and marriage recently. "I definitely feel like we're bucking the trend. And I'm not saying we're perfect. No, we're not."
Admitting there are times when she's thankful the camera is not there, Jackie alludes to the fact that viewers might see a disagreement or two with Doug, but that is part of being married.
"Sometimes I think, if me and Doug are having an argument, oh my God, I`m so glad the cameras are not here. But it's not that I think that they're going to affect our relationship, we're committed to the commitment. That's what our focus is on, it's about me and Doug. And this is who we really are," Christie told Dr. Drew. "We forget the cameras are there."
"Basketball Wives LA" is a spin-off the Miami-based series. It premiered Summer (2011), with strong ratings, on VH1.
"Basketball Wives LA" returns for season two Monday, September 10 on VH1.
