Basketball Wives LA has apparently fired Gloria Govan, Laura Govan, Malaysia Pargo, and Brooke Bailey, according to TMZ. As we saw all the drama play out this past season, we may be still seeing more drama unfold after the show. Apparently, the information about the firings was leaked online before producers could warn the fired cast members. There are talks about bringing in some replacements, but at this point, they have not chosen anyone.
According to TMZ, the four cast members were fired because they were not allowing the show to film their reality, at least not all of their reality and it is a reality show! Apparently, producers were mostly angry with Gloria Govan. At the end of September, Gloria got married in Las Vegas to Los Angeles Clippers player Matt Barnes and didn’t invite the producers and didn’t tell them either. Some may feel what was so wrong about Gloria getting married without allowing the world to see it, but if she signed a contract to be on the reality, it seems she would have at least let the producers know and ask if she could be excused from having that part of her life filmed. TMZ reported that the producers felt her actions were very disrespectful.
If you noticed, it seems Jackie Christie was often filmed along with hubby Doug and her daughters. Although she and her two daughters seemed to have some issues, she allowed the show to film her realities of life. As for Bambi, nothing was mentioned as to whether or not she’ll be back on the show. I imagine she probably won’t since she was invited on the show through her friend Malaysia Pargo, one of the fired cast members who will not be returning for the new season.
Jackie Christie and Draya Michele are the only cast members returning for the new season.
