Basically Bare is a new paper crafting company that manufactures mixed-media albums and embellishments that are perfect for all types of paper crafters – scrapbookers, card makers, stampers, altered artists, jewelry makers, and mixed media artists.

Jan Hennings

The idea for Basically Bare was born from co-owner, Angela Pruitt’s love for altering embellishments to fit her projects. There are a multitude of ready-made embellishments available for scrapbookers and paper crafters, but many of them are pre-decorated to coordinate with particular paper lines or collections.

Angela felt that “there just weren't any naked embellishments for purchase that could easily be customized by the artist.” So, she and her mother, co-owner, Carol Jackson, put their heads together and thought of the best bare, alterable materials – chipboard, canvas, white felt, corrugated board, and clear acrylic, and then designed their line of Basically Embellies embellishments around those materials.

Basically Embellies:

  • Bare Basics – buttons, banners, gears, wings, flowers, and more
  • Stack-a-Bellies – stackable birds, owls, paisleys, and cupcakes complete with icing
  • Themed Sets – dress forms, dresses, paparazzi, and sewing vintage with chipboard scissors that really work

They created Bare Booklets because they knew that artists would be looking for unique ways to use their Basic Embellies. Bare Booklets are spiral-bound albums that are alterable and provide the perfect creative backdrop for their line of embellishments. These multi-media books are available in three sizes and are bound together with premium alterable materials for a true tactile experience.

Basically Bare products are alterable, which means you can ink them, stain them, or paint them pretty colors. You can also tear them and distress them because they well built, allowing their beauty to still shine through.

Their materials are "green" and earth friendly, and are recycled, recyclable and/or obtained from sustainable sources. Basically Bare is also a "low landfill" manufacturer, which means that no less than 90% of the waste produced during the manufacturing of our products is locally recycled.

Basically Bare is currently offering a Grand Opening Special of Free Shipping on orders of $50 and over.
