Baseball season begins in Indy

AAA baseball continues to be a hit in Indianapolis as the Indians Celebrate their 15th season at Victory Field.

To celebrate the anniversary, the Indians are also offering fans a special $15 ticket package for Thursday home games. Fans can get a reserved seat ticket, hot dog, soft drink and their choice of a souvenir item for just $15/person ($29 value).

Regular ticket prices of only $9-$14, the Indians offer several regular promotions that help fans maximize their entertainment budget. They include Monday Dollar Menu – Fans can purchase hot dogs, peanuts, Cracker Jack, popcorn and potato chips for just $1 each, Fazoli’s 2-for-1 Tuesdays – Fans can obtain a buy-one-get-one free ticket voucher, good for any Tuesday game, at a central Indiana Fazoli’s restaurants and Thrifty Thursdays – In celebration of the 15th season at Victory Field, fans can purchase a package that includes a reserved seat ticket, hot dog, soda and choice of a souvenir item for just $15/person ($29 value).

The Triple-A affiliate of the Pittsburgh Pirates plays at Victory Field in White River State Park, which has been called the best minor league ballpark in America by several sports publications (including Sports Illustrated and Baseball America).

This season (2010), the Indians installed a new digital video scoreboard that spans the left field wall. The digital board measures 6-1/2’ tall by 120’ wide and is the only video display of its kind in the International League. Only four Major League teams have a larger outfield wall digital display.
