Basandra will likely be featured in the “Heavenly Inferno” white/black/red wedge Commander deck, and boasts the body of a standard white angel along with the inciteful nature of a more red attuned ideology.
Basandra stands out as a card for Commander use, as she can work as a red/white General and possesses an ability that can be very useful to take out stray Oracles of Mul Daya, Dark Confidants, and plenty of other utility creatures that are popular in Commander play.
It’s fairly unlikely that your deck would actually be built with Basandra as the General, and there are definitely better cards to consider for your 5 mana slots, but Basandra does pack plenty of flavor and functionality into a divine dispenser of justice, perfect for an angel-themed assault deck or against opponents who love to utilize vulnerable creature assets.
