It’s being billed as “the first and only Barry Gurney Bowling Garage Sale,” and plenty of bowling equipment – including 80 high-tech balls – will be available.
The garage sale will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 24 at 23840 Mobile St. in West Hills.
Gurney, one of the premier bowlers to come out of the San Fernando Valley, died July 2 after a battle with cancer. He was 71. He was a four-time Professional Bowlers Assn. PBA50 Tour champion who joined the PBA Senior Tour in 1991.
Gurney, a West Hills resident, was one of the most affable and passionate athletes in the Los Angeles area and also served as a highly regarded bowling coach.
Suggested prices for the bowling balls range from $10 to $25.
