With the seemingly endless scandals erupting from every department and world events moving at blazingly fast pace Barry Soetoro (AKA: Barrack Obama) decided the people deserved to see him on television to explain it all. Evidently “The View” was booked so Barrack settled for, paid for by taxpayers like you and me, the PBS show “Charlie Rose”. Taking time out on Father’s Day while packing for his European vacation/African safari Obama sat down for what was hoped to be a puffball piece for the masses.
Charlie spelled out that the list of prepared questions would cover Syria, Iranian elections, demonstrations in Turkey and the national security Agency. Obama was ready to explain it all to the American people with his prepared answers. Charlie Rose: The elections in Iran, the moderate won, how do you read that?
Obama: It shows the Iranian people want to move in a different direction, they rebuffed the hardliners and the clerics.
Comments: The Iranian people excluding women, Christians, Jews and even Sunni Muslims who could neither run nor vote. Since Hassan Rohani is one of the Ayatollah BFF’s it could not be considered a rebuff.
Charlie Rose: Define the new policy that you are articulating with respect to Syria.
Obama: I am not sure you can characterize this as new policy.
Comments: We have always been at war with Eastasia.
Charlie Rose: So you think a no fly zone is necessary?
Obama: You haven’t been in the situation room poring through intelligence and meeting with our military. It’s kind of hard for you to understand.
Comments: This from the president who is documented to attend less than half the intelligence briefings, who is praised a great leader/orator can’t explain our new policy to Charlie or the American people. We just wouldn’t understand.
Charlie Rose: Let’s go to China
Obama: It was an unconventional visit outside the White House. It allowed for a more honest conversation. Willingness to engage, blah blah, healthy competition, pollution problems, economic inequality, blah blah, strategic conversation, responsibilities, stakeholder, the Chinese want to know my talking points.
Comments: Outside the White House and outside the public view. We can all be sure the main target of Chinese hacking is right into your teleprompter.
Charlie Rose: Where do you put what NSA is doing in the balance between security and freedom?
Obama: I continue to believe is that we don’t have to sacrifice our freedom in order to have security. So it’s a trade-off we make.
Comment: So our freedom hasn’t been taken it’s been traded off.
Charlie Rose: (in response to NSA cannot target your e-mails) And have not?
Obama: Unless they….and usually it wouldn’t be they…it would be the FBI.. go to court and obtain a warrant.
Comment: Warrant from a secret court.
Charlie Rose: Have any been turned down? (Had to ask twice to get the following non answer)
Obama: Because..first of all..Charlie, the number of requests are surprisingly small.
Comment: FBI wiretaps up 1000% over Bush. Facebook received 9,000 user data requests and Microsoft received 6,000 requests both over the last six months. Google, Yahoo, and Apple have not released how many they received.
Charlie Rose: The level of Debt and all that.
Obama: Well here’s what I would say. #1 spend more on education. #2 spend more on infrastructure. #3 spend more on research and development. #4 make sure the tax code allows us to grow.
Comment: So same old same old, spend, spend, spend and tax.
Since Obama was kind enough to explain the parts we mere mortals could understand we should all feel better about the suspicion that government is only in it for themselves. We can rest assured Barrack and his family need this vacation so few of us could afford, after working hard on things we couldn't understand. We can see why those in Washington think we are simpletons, who wouldn't , just look at who we elect to represent us!
