Barry Award Winners for Crime Fiction 2011

The Barry Award is a prize for crime fiction that has been awarded since 1997 by the editorial staff of Deadly Pleasures.  The award is named for Barry Gardner a critic who passed away in 1996 while reading in his easy chair in Dallas.

Note that the “best British crime novel” in the awards is the best crime fiction novel first published in English in the United Kingdom and does not reflect the author’s nationality.

You may wish to consider all of these books and short stories for your reading list.
