Barrett-Jackson Collector Car Auction List Highlights

The 41st Barrett-Jackson Collector Car Auction being held in Scottsdale AZ presents the optimum collector vehicles on the auction block Saturday and Sunday.  As the most rare and pristine vehicles are displayed on the auction block some collector cars are also auctioned for charitable organizations. 

The Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation was the benefactor of the sale of "Poison" lead singer, Bret Michaels - A 1969 Chevrolet CamaroSS.  This outstanding vehicle sold for $220,000.  Another treasured vehicle, a 2012 one-off Ford Boss Mustang brought in $450,000 according to results released by Barrett-Jackson.

The St. Jude Childrens Hospital was the grateful recipient of the proceeds from the sale of a unique 2012 Ford Mustang GT Custom Coupe, designed and crafted by Galpin Motor Sports.

So collector car enthusiasts make your plans to arrive early and claim a seat at the auction tent for the presentation of the finest cars in the world.  With only two days left the most rare and expensive cars will be on display. Gates open at 8 a.m. at Westworld in Scottsdale AZ. 

Here are some highlighted vehicles scheduled for Saturday, January 21, 2012.

  • (Lot #1291) 1969 Dodge Charger – Popularly known as the “General Lee” also known as the “Lee 1”, this vehicle was used in the first episodes of the “Dukes of Hazzard”.
  • (Lot # 5002) 1933 Pierce-Arrow Silver Arrow – Only three of the five that were built survived.  During the 1933 New York Auto Show caused a sensation during the unveiling.
  • (Lot #5008) 1948 Tucker Torpedo – From the Ron Pratte Collection this vehicle is one of only 51 built.  The concept originally conceived by Preston Tucker was advanced in 1948.
  • (Lot #1311) 1970 Plymouth Roadrunner – One of 74 this 1970 HEMI Roadrunner Coupe was built to specifications for the USA. 
  • (Lot #1285) 1955 Chevrolet – This vehicle has a Rolls Royce Merlin P51 Mustang fighter plane engine.  Exceptional engineering went into this vehicle and took five years to build.  ***SOLD ON BILL OF SALE***
  • (Lot #1301.1) 1969 Chevrolet Camaro – This COPO Continuation car is from the Jimmy Richardson Collection.  Powered by a 427/435hp V8, with aluminum heads, a Muncie 4-speed M-22 and 12-bolt rear with 4.10 gears.
