Barren Hill Tavern & Brewery is going into its first ever Philly Beer Week with superior events such as collaboration brewing events, multiple tap- takeovers, and a pig roast finale and a sweet dessert-pairing event.

1. Arcadia Beer Brunch - Sunday, June 1 from 10:30am-3pm. Guests can enjoy brunch prepared by Chef Paul Throwbridge along with $1 off all Arcadia beers. A variety of beer cocktails specials will be running as well, using Arcadia’s beer. The popular Beermosa will be available, which will use Arcadia’s wheat beer Whitsun.

2. Oxbow Brewing Brew Day- Monday, June 2 till 12 am. Two award-winning brewers — Barren Hill’s Scott Morrison and brewer Mike Fava of Oxbow team up to brew a special beer during the day while guests at Barren Hill can watch the process. After the brew masters finish up their collaboration beer, both brewers will be on hand during happy hour to talk to guests starting at 6pm when patrons will enjoy $1 off Oxbow beers all the way up to 12am. Oxbow Brewery is an American Farmhouse Brewery from Maine that specializes in Belgian farmhouse beers. The collaboration beer will be available after Beer Week at Barren Hill Tavern & Brewery.

3. North Coast Brewing Takeover- Tuesday, June 3 from 7pm-12am. North Coast Brewery will feature a tap takeover with $1 off all North Coast beers. Multiple beers will be on draft including Old Stock 2011, a three year old beer. A North Coast brewer representative will also be on hand to answer any questions. Drafts- Acme IPA, Red Seal Pale Ale, Old Stock 2011, Le Merle, and Pranqster

4. Stillwater Brew Day - Wednesday, June 4 from 11am-7pm, watch Head Brewer Brian Strumke of Stillwater Artisanal brew a collaboration beer with Scott Morrison. Strumke is a Maryland-based brewer but typically visits other brewers when making his beer. Strumke and Erin Wallace, owner of Barren Hill Tavern & Brewery, Devil’s Den, and Old Eagle Tavern {also a Maryland native} both grew up in Baltimore together. Both brewers with be at the bar for happy hour after they finish brewing from 5 pm-7 pm to talk about their beer with guests while everyone is enjoying $1 off Stillwater beer.

5. Around the World with Shelton Brothers - Wednesday, June 4 from 7pm-12am Guests at Barren Hill will sample rare beers from all over the world courtesy of the Shelton Brothers Importers. A cheese pairing plate paired with a flight of beer will also be on special. Representatives will be on hand pouring unique draftsfrom countries such as Norway, Belgium, Canada, Germany, and Denmark with $1 off select drafts. 6. Weyerbacher Night- Thursday, June 5 from 7pm-12am. Weyerbacher Brewing will be on hand showcasing the best that they have to offer. This local brewery will have five of their favorite beers on draft for $1 off. Drafts- Heresy, Tart Nouveau, Double Simcoe, Merry Monk's, Brewers Series Cannes

7. Free Will Dessert & Beer Pairing- Friday, June 6 from 7pm-12am Free Will Brewing will stop by and Brewer David Wood will also be available to answer any beer questions.Free Will beer will be $1 off and the beer list will include old favorites mixed will a couple new creations. Additionally, Barren Hill Pastry Chef Melissa Stout-Greiner will bepairing mini desserts with a flight of Free Will beer that will be on special. 8. Coronado Brew & BBQ Day- Saturday, June 7- All the way from Southern California, Coronado Brewing Company will team up with Barren Hill for the final Philly Beer Week collaboration brew. Head Brewer Ryan Brooks and Owner Rick Chapman will stop by from the award-winning brewery for the final big BBQ roast. Guest can stop by the tavern all day and watch the brewers make beer, talk with the brewers and the owner, drink $1 off all Coronado beer, and enjoy a whole Pig Roast prepared by Chef Trowbridgethat will be ready at 3pm. Drafts-Islander IPA, Orange Avenue Wit, Bobble Head Red, Black Sails, Barrelman Brown Ale

9. Leftover Beer Brunch- Sunday, June 8 from 11am-3pm. An appropriate closing to Philly Beer Week, guest can enjoy brunch while sipping off $1 any leftover beer from the entire Beer Week festivities.

Barren Hill Brewery & Cheese Night - Thursday, June 4 From 7pm-12am. Guests can enjoy $1 off all Barren Hill beer and a cheese plate. Options will include separate pairings or flights of beer. Head Brewer Scott Morrison will be on site for a Meet and Greet.

Drafts- Baltic Porter, Old School, Czech Pils, Neslson Sauvin

Barren Hill Tavern & Brewery, set in the historic General Lafayette Inn building on the outskirts of Philadelphia in Montgomery County, is a new brewpub from the owners of Devil’s Den and Old Eagle Tavern. Barren Hill Tavern & Brewery offers 30 craft beers on draft and a variety of select cans and bottles. Head Brewer Scott Morrison (five-time winner of GABF, World Beer Cup bronze medalist, formerly of McKenzie Brewing and Dock Street Brewing Co.) brews as many as twelve unique house brews that will also be available at Devil’s Den and Old Eagle Tavern.
