Barnstormer III headed to Milwaukee

Barnstormer, the traveling concert collaboration brought to you by Daytrotter, will make stops in Milwaukee on April 28 and Lake Geneva on April 29.

Daytrotter operates The Horseshack, an independent recording studio based in Rock Island, Illinois, with the mission of recording one live session with a different band every day of the work week. These sessions are available on the Daytrotter website for free download, though registration is required. Notable sessions include Bon Iver, The Tallest Man on Earth, and The Daredevil Christopher Wright, among myriad others. Each session is accompanied by album artwork drawn by an in-house illustrator.

Thus far, the lineup for the 2010 iteration of Barnstormer includes Ra Ra Riot, Delta Spirit, and Nathaniel Rateliff, and two to three more artists are expected to join before all is said and done.

Venues, times, and ticket price for the concerts are pending. In the mean time, check out Daytrotter's fantastic app for iPhone/iPod Touch.
