According to Congressentity Barney Frank, the double-dip estate tax is not punishment because the heirs didn’t do anything to deserve it.
Frank specifically states (video, left);
"Heirs, who now inherit, they haven't done this on their own, they haven't worked hard. That's a pure gift to someone who was lucky enough to be related to someone or very friendly with someone who's leaving them money."
Frank failed to mention family farms; family businesses such as restaurants and dry cleaners, etc; and what many consider the most important point of all, the express desires of the departed parents.
Frank also fails to mention that his own father, Sam, owned a small family business in New Jersey, and when Sam passed away, son Barney took one year off from his Harvard education to "help resolve the family’s tangled financial affairs", according to The New Yorker magazine.
According to the same article, Frank stated "The Mafia guys were very helpful to me at the time."

Yet more pearls of wisdom from a liberal idiot who can't see past his own nose. He along with other democrats haven't yet figured out we don't have a revenue problem we have a spending problem. I have yet to see a democrat that will answer a question that is asked of them. Maybe we should eliminate tax deductions for charitable deductions also since those organizations didn't earn the money it was given to them.
