The Columbus Zoo and Aquarium
partners with Barley's to bring Columbus'
finest brews to their annual fund raiser
No month of August would be complete without witnessing the coming and passing of Brew at the Zoo, the annual fundraiser hosted by the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium. The Zoo gates will stay open until 11 p.m. this Friday, August 28th for this charitable event, which begins at 6:30 p.m.
Along with entertainment and zoo-themed festivities, this night of craft beer indulgence will be highlighted by ales and lagers presented by Barley's, a fixture in the Columbus craft brew community. "In years past, we hosted beers from around the world, but for this year's Brew at the Zoo we will be partnering with Barley's to showcase the best microbrews Columbus has to offer," says Jennifer Wilson, Columbus Zoo and Aquarium communications manager. "We wanted to keep the focus on local breweries."
As advertised, the lineup reeks of Columbus style, as well as some of the more creative fashions from popular microbrewies throughout the Midwest region and across the Unites States.
