Ukranian Sergei Dzinziruk, the reigning WBO junior middleweight champion, has signed with American promoters Artie Pelullo and Gary Shaw. The 33-year old could face Sergio Martinez, Paul Williams, Cory Spinks, and Yuri Foreman in the junior middleweight division.
This weekend, two-time world champion and Venezuelan fighter Edwin Valero (26-0, 26 KOs) defends his WBC lightweight title against WBC 135-pound interim titleholder Antonio DeMarco (23-1-1, 17 KOs) in Monterrey, Mexico. The bout will be featured on Showtime at 9pm eastern standard time.

Super middleweight titlist Lucian Bute will defend his belt against power puncher Edison Miranda of Colombia on April 17. Bute sports a record of 25-0-0, 20 KOs and is Canada's most popular fighter. The bout will take place at the Bell Centre in Montreal. HBO plans on covering the bout. Kelly Pavlik may defend his middleweight belt on the same card against Argentinian Sergio Martinez. That fight is currently in negotiations.
