Join Houston Pavilions and Pup Squad this weekend for Barkitecture Houston 2010 and enjoy a weekend of dog-day good times with a Yappy Hour, a silent auction of designer dog houses, and spectacular shopping.

The event is free, and even your dog is invited. *Note: All dogs must be kept on a leash at all times.

OCTOBER 22ND - YAPPY HOUR

Yappy Hour will take place on Friday, October 22nd, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the Houston Pavilions (Center Court).  There is a $10 suggested donation or dog food Item and the Yappy Hour will be hosted by McCormick & Schmick’s Seafood Restaurant.

When you make a donation at Yappy Hour you can enter to win a door prize.

Prizes include:

  • One-year family membership to the Houston Zoo, generously provided by the Houston Zoo.
  • Dog-lovers gift basket full of fun treats for you and your dog by local artist Bonnie Blue.
  • A gift certificate for a custom "pet rock" designed and painted by Bonnie Blue featuring your dog.
  • Chocolate-lovers gift basket by Design It Yourself Gifts.

OCTOBER 23rd - SILENT AUCTION AND DOGHOUSES ON DISPLAY

Houston’s best architects, designers, builders and artists have been selected to created dog houses to be auctioned off to benefit Pup Squad, and animal rescue group whose goal is to rescue orphaned puppies, kittens and nursing litters from the streets and other life-threatening situations and match them with adoptive homes, as well as to provide support and education to these adopters and the community at large. 100% of all proceeds from this year’s silent auction will directly benefit Pup Squad.

Time: 10 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Location: The Houston Pavilions (Center Court).

Parking: Parking will be available at the Houston pavilions Garage located at Clay & Fannin. There is free valet parking on Fannin during Happy Hour.

    Great cause and a terrific idea. Love the fact that you can attend with your pet too. They should have some very interesting dog houses at the auction. Good luck to all who attend!
