Cameron Dunn, 22, barked up the wrong tree, or rather, at the wrong dog on Monday.
According to Tuesday's WHIOTV News, Dunn found himself in hot water after he was detained in the backseat of a Montgomery County, Ohio police cruiser during a traffic stop.
The 22-year-old began antagonizing the officer's canine partner, "Gunner," who was attempting to search Dunn's car for possible drugs.
According to the report, as Gunner walked by the cruiser, Dunn began hitting the window and barking.
Despite Dunn's attempt to distract the canine from his duties, Gunner found what he was looking for, hitting on the scent of drugs on the passenger side of the car.
Dunn's taunting earned him a night in jail with a charge of assaulting or harassing police dog. He will be due in the Kettering Municpal Court on Jan. 14.
