The annual festival celebrating "dogs and the people they own" will be held this Saturday at the new location at Rural Hill, 4431 Neck Rd, (off of I-77 exit 16B).

The event kicks off at 10am with the Pooch Parade at 10:30am, followed by demonstrations and contests throughout the day such as Best Bark, Best Costume, and Best Trick. Winner of the Top Dog Photo Contest will be announced and march as Grand Marshal in the Pooch Parade, as well as receive a number of pet prizes.

Rescue organizations and vendors will be present show casing some of their finest adoptable friends and available pet gear. Some of the attending rescues include Crossroads Animal Rescue, S.A.F.E. Animal Haven, the American Pit Bull Foundation, and German Shepherd Rescue and Adoptions.

Dogs are welcome and encouraged to participate in the competitions for Throw & Catch, as well as the Long Shot.

Last year, Bark in the Park opened its gates to 14,500 attendees and expects a great turnout this year as well.
