What to do with your dog on a hot August day (and possibly rainy one too)? Head to Doggie U K9 Academy in Bay Shore who will be hosting their first Doggie U ‘Bark-B-Que’ this Saturday, August 11, 2012 from 11am to 5pm. This is an indoor fun filled event!

Dog owners can beat the heat of the dog days of summer and head to Doggie U for this BBQ that has gone to the dogs! The event will feature vendors, rescue groups with adoptable pets, raffles, and all kinds of activities for dogs and their owners to participate in. Doggie activities will include games like: ‘musical sit,’ (you know the doggie version of musical chairs!), the fastest recall, - dogs that come to their owners the fastest when called - the best ‘Speak,’ or shall we say ‘best Bark’ and more! Dog owners will also have the opportunity to take a ‘walk through’ with their pup in the Agility, obedience and rally rings – of course with experts on hand to guide them through each ring.

Guest can bring their pooches dressed in his or her best Beach bikini, Bermuda shorts or sarong! There will also be food and refreshments served for the humans – this is a BBQ after all. Goody bags will be given, while supplies last, to ‘Bark-BQue’ attendees.

The cost for the event is $25 per person, Seniors & kids 12-18 are $12 per person, kids under 12 are free - which includes food and refreshments, dogs come free! To RSVP and for vendor information contact Doggie U K9 Academy at (631) 968-7972 or by email at DoggieUK9Academy@aol.com or visit www.DoggieUK9.com!
