Attention New Yorkers and Big Apple-bound beauty shoppers there’s a new place in town to stock up on all your bareMinerals essentials. Located down in Soho it’s called bareMinerals Shade Shop, the popular brand’s first of a kind way to pick you shade--– light, medium, tan, dark and deep– in a streamlined, easy-to-navigate environment.
The unique shop is designed so women can located everything they need for a flawless-looking complexion in one location, specifically curated for skin tone, and offering a rotating color bar to complete the look. Think of it as a testing ground for the latest ideas which will change seasonally, according to the announcement from bareMinerals received today, August 3. "We embraced elements and moments that are true to the heart and soul of our brand by creating a space inspired by our home on the Northern California coastline through fresh and natural materials that are both unexpected and inviting," explains Michelle Boudreau, senior director of Global Visual Merchandising and Store Design.
A playground for beauty geeks, the allery-like bi-level space utilizes raw, natural elements such as wood, polished concrete and repurposed brass fixtures to create a warm and refined atmosphere. There’s a whole wall dedicated to portraits featuring women (both models and the brand's employees) with responses to the question "What makes you feel beautiful?" inviting the community to #bareyourself and share their answers as well.
A loft-level floor is reserved or special events and community activities such as artistry workshops, girlfriend parties and inspired conversations with Leslie Blodgett, creator of bareMinerals, throughout the shop's two year duration.
The shop opened yesterday and is doing complimentary make up apps as an introductory offer. If you happen to be reading this in New York you may want to drop by the shop which is located in Soho at 118 Prince Street, for appointments call 312-966-0521.
