Barefoot enters the Prosecco Market

For fans of sparkling wines, it is common knowledge that Prosecco is the fastest growing sparkler (by dollar sales) in the US. Light, easy to drink, with a moderately low alcohol content, Prosecco goes well with meals, snack and by itself.

Barefoot Cellars is on the market with the Barefoot Bubbly Prosecco. With a relatively low price (SRP of $10.00) the wine has found a niche for those who want a bubbly, but do not want to pay Champagne prices.

The Barefoot Prosecco is easy to enjoy (and priced to enjoy) as an everyday sparkling wine. The wine has a nose of apple and moves onto the palate with more crisp apples and a bit of pear. On the finish, this Prosecco delights you with a lemony ending making the sweetness of the beginnings nicely offset by the slightly tart end.

For the foodies, the Prosecco will be a pleasant accompaniment with spicy meals or a simple cheese, meat and antipasto plate.

As an Italian product, the grapes selected are from the Glera variety, and the residual sugar is 2.20g/100ml, fairly typical of a Prosecco.

Barefoot has made great strides into the sparkling market. The Prosecco is the 10th offering from Barefoot, and rounds out the Barefoot sparkling platform.

Barefoot has a large variety of award-winning wines, including the Bubbly Fusion series and the new Barefoot Refresh.

This Prosecco is designed for the sparkling wine lover who does not want to spend a day’s salary on a sparkling wine purchase.

As always, thanks to Gallo for the opportunity to taste and review the Barefoot Prosecco!

Enjoy the wine and have a winederful day!
