Given that Halloween is all about horror and transformation, the story of two pooches who survived the former and triumphed with the latter thanks to San Diego rescue organization Boxers N Birds seemed like the perfect tale to tell today.
In the words of Boxers N Birds…
“Meet Lou and Rich, brothers of the "Bare Naked Ladies!"
“Lou and Rich were absolutely bald when they came to us. We believe them to be about two to three years old and they have spent the majority of the last year in a shelter or rescue environment, but they could not be more loving little boys.
“They had a skin infection and demodectic mange that caused hair loss. They have been treated for both and are growing the softest most gorgeous red and blonde hair you could ever imagine.
“We have them on a hypoallergenic diet as well as supplements for skin and hair and boy does it show!
“We would love to adopt out these boys in a pair if possible since they have been together as a duo for so long. If you are looking for little love bug lap dogs, these are the boys for you!
“Please email Pam or Lisa at BoxersNBirds@aol.com and ask for an adoption application or call Mission Animal and Bird Hospital at 760-433-3763 Ext 224 to leave a voice mail for Pam or Lisa and they will return your call as soon as possible.”
