Bare Escentuals offers new liquid foundation to QVC customers

Bare Escentuals, the maker of bareMinerals mineral powder foundation has entered the liquid foundation market with BareSkin brightening serum foundation available now only to QVC shoppers.

Much like their popular bareMinerals powder foundation, Bare Escentuals promotes BareSkin to be suitable for all skin types, has a no-makeup look and feel, and customizable coverage . The liquid formula is missing pore-clogging ingredients such as silicone, oil, and parabens, and is friendly to sensitive skin as it is fragrance-free and hypoallergenic.

BareSkin claims to not only make skin look good, but also improve its condition. It is a plant-based foundation with a non-chemical broad spectrum SPF 20 to help protect from damaging sun exposure. It contains vitamin C and lilac plant stem cells, which Bare Escentuals claim enhance skin brightness and help even skin tone.

Vitamin C, in conjunction with ascorbic acid, has been clinically proven to improve skin condition and increase collagen formation. Lilac plant stem cells work as an anti-inflammatory as well as an oil regulator aiding problem skin.

Unlike most liquid foundations, this makeup is intended to be applied to the face with a special brush, to buff and refine the finished look. Twelve shades are available now only through QVC and, but Bare Escentuals has announced that they will release an expanded line of 20 shades through retailers and on beginning May 1, 2014.
