The bare butt solidarity among Miss Germany contestants did not only amaze 23-year-old Miss Germany contestant Juliane Seyffert and a few delighted observers, but even the reporter of the Feb. 8, 2013, Bild.TV-News video.
Juliane Seyffert, who is representing the German area of Sachsen in the Miss Germany contest, was in jeopardy of losing her spot as one of the 23 Miss Germany finalists after an alleged picture of her “Po” (bare butt) was published in a newspaper.
The publication of any kind of nude picture by a Miss Germany contestant is strictly against Miss Germany’s participation rules and results in an elimination of a girl from the Miss Germany contest.
Even though 23-year-old Juliane Seyffert could specifically point out that her hips and “Po” were “curvier” than the girl in the picture and that her legs were not as trained as the one shown, the emotional strain of the publication of her alleged nude pose was difficult to deal with.
In response to their co-contestant's emotional plight, all of the other Miss Germany contestants showed their solidarity and support to Juliane Seyffert by taking a group picture with the same “bare butt” pose.
While the “Po” or “bare butt” group picture resembled Juliane Seyffert’s alleged “Po” picture, it was taken under official Miss Germany rules. At the end of the video, the female reporter says, “So much trouble about a Po (bare butt), but in the end, the group picture makes it all worthwhile.
“We usually play tennis today but we wouldn’t want to miss this,” said an old retiree who was watching the girls take their “Po” pose.
“I might be old,” said another observer with a smile, “but my eyes are still young.”
Unfortunately for the younger generation of male potential observers, the “Po” pose by the 23 Miss Germany contestants was not taken in cold Germany but in the nice and warm Fuerteventura off the coast of West Africa.
The 23 Miss Germany contestants are staying in the “Miss-Germany-Camp” from Feb. 4, 2013, to Feb. 14, 2013, in preparation for the Miss Germany contest on Feb. 23, 2013 at the Europark in Rust, Gemany.
By now, the photographer of Juliane Seyffert’s alleged bare butt picture has signed an affidavit that the published photo was a fake.
However, the 22 Miss Germany’s beauty contestants did not need any proof of their co-contestant's innocence.
One of Juliane Seyffert’s co-contestants told the German Bild reporter, “We are here as a team and Juliane Seyffert is one of us.” Another Miss Germany contestant said, “We are like a little family and we support each other.”
