Local non-profit organization, Bay Area Recycle for Charities is hosting their First Annual BARC Products & Services EXPO at ECCO Even Space, downtown, on Tuesday, March 25th, 11-4 pm.

We all know that recycling is beneficial to the environment, but what if in the process you could also help your community and those in need?

That’s the idea behind Bay Area Recycle for Charities (BARC), a people-person organization out serving the five counties that make up the Traverse Bay area.

BARC focuses its efforts on converting recyclables into revenues, not only to support itself and fund its expansion, but to achieve its ultimate goal of giving maximum donations to local charities.

BARC offers easy, convenient option for maximizing the effect of your recycling, beginning with drop-off sites and pick-up service. The profits from the resources collected will be contributed to local charities.

With a full range of compostable products from basic bagasse to upscale palm leaf and bamboo, the products and services event on Tuesday, March 25th at ECCO will have some of the most innovative and earth-friendly items out there.

Some things that BARC has in store, include “green,” eco-friendly cleaning products from Eco-Logic, Clean Solutions and Ginger Clean, bio-degradable and compostable waste bags manufactured locally in Traverse City, and nutrient rich compost soil; perfect for your herb or vegetable garden.

Bay Area Recycle for Charities VISTAS/supporters will be there to teach you about BARC’s complete recycling (including e-waste/recovery) and composting services, “zero-waste” event services for your wedding or corporate event, and the new Bio-Diesel production.

Better to make all your purchases for eco-friendly items with BARC at this event so you can SAVE! SAVE! SAVE! You may also choose delayed delivery. Food and drink will be served at this event, as well as your chance to win some raffle prizes, including a 32” TV, $50 beer and pizza certificate, Cambria Suites 1 night stay, 1 year of massages, free recycling for a month, and more!

*You need to attend this event to be eligible for all raffle prizes as well as products and services. You do not need to be present for the raffle drawing, but please remember to write down your name and a phone number!

We are looking forward to seeing you join in on this fun, informative, and money saving event!
