Barbie Peek-a-Boo Petites and Mini B dolls are one of the cute offshoot lines from the Mattel Barbie doll family of dolls. Often compared to the 1960's Liddle Kiddle dolls from Mattel, the Barbie Peek-a-boo Petites and the Barbie Mini B dolls are just a couple of inches tall and very cute. Petites and Minis utilize the same body and head molds which are quite a bit smaller than Kiddles and usually more adult looking. (See slide show)
With large heads, big eyes, tiny, colorful fashions, perky little expressions and hair you can brush, the small dolls usually come in tiny cases or attachable to jewelry.
They apparently first appeared in 2005 as Barbie Peekaboo Petite Fairytopia jewel necklace and rings. Since then they have come out in a variety of adorable series, including the extremely well done nostalgic My Favorite Mini B Gift Set #1 of vintage Barbie styles which came out in 2008.
Look for Barbie Mini B dolls at your favorite toy stores. I found two blister packs from the 2008 Barbie Peek-a-Boo Petites series at a Sears store in Nashville on Feb. 2, 2013. Photo at left.
