Barbara Walters to retire after releasing ‘Most Fascinating People’ list

Wednesday night, Barbara Walters revealed the “The 10 Most Fascinating People of the Year” and the news has created a buzz; Hillary Clinton topped the most fascinating list for 2013. The list included Miley Cyrus, Edward Snowden, and Royal baby Prince George, according to Syracuse. Barbara Walters, 84, plans to retire in the next year and this will be her last most fascinating people list.

“The 10 Most Fascinating People of the Year” show took two nights to cover all of the people chosen his year. The final show aired on ABC Wednesday night. The show did a great job of building suspense until the number one most fascinating person was revealed. After the other nine most fascinating people were revealed, many people wondered who was left.

Barbara Walters said it was former Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton. This is the third time Clinton has appeared on the list and the first time she was number 1. “The 10 Most Fascinating People of the Year” showed started in 1993, and Clinton was on the list that year as well. Since Barbara Walter plans to retire in the next year, and Clinton is number one this year…she is one of the first and the last for Walters.

During the show Clinton was asked if she would run for president 2016, and she replied:

"I haven't made up my mind. Obviously, I will look carefully at what I think I can do and make that decision sometime next year."

The rest of “The 10 Most Fascinating People of the Year” list included the cast from “Duck Dynasty,” Jennifer Lawrence, Robin Roberts (from Good Morning America), Pope Francis, Kim Kardashian and Kanye West.
