Barbara Walters is hospitalized after her fall

Barbara Walters, the “View” cohost, was hospitalized on Saturday night when she fell while visiting the British Ambassador’s residence in Washington, D.C. according to E! News on Jan. 20.

Walters suffered a cut on her forehead after she fell on a stair and went to the hospital out of caution and to have her cut tended to. Walters is currently there for observation. A rep for ABC News said that she is alert which is a great sign.

Barbara was suppose to contribute to the coverage of the inauguration events for President Barack Obama’s second inauguration. After her fall, she will not be on-air Monday. It is unclear exactly how long she will not be on-air.

Barbara Walters can be found on the “View” during the week as one of the cohosts. Hopefully she will recover quickly and be back on the “View” and back to feeling like herself after her injury. She is expected to make a full recovery.
