Barbara Walters contracted chicken pox from co-host's ex (Photos)

Barbara Walters has confirmed the speculation that she contracted chicken pox from an actor that once dated Whoopi Goldberg, according to ET Online, March 5, 2013.

Walters attended a New Years party and exchanged a hug and kiss from former male friend, Frank Langella, who soon would come down with a case of shingles.

Langella had a romantic relationship with The View co-host, Whoopi Goldberg, from 1996 to 2001. Is this awkward or not?

Frank A. Langella, Jr., 75, is an American stage and film actor. He has won a Tony Award for Best Leading actor in a Play for his performance as Richard Nixon in a play Frost/Nixon. – Wikipedia

Langella is an Italian American and was married almost 20 years to Ruth Weil before his relationship with Goldberg.

Walters, 83, was gone 6 weeks from the show, and returned on Monday. We are glad to see her back. Walters is still very feisty, she was missed during her recovery period.
