Barbara Walters is now dealing with chicken pox

It’s been a little over a week since Barbara Walters fell while visiting the British Ambassador’s residence and she is still in the hospital. Today on “The View” Whoopi Goldberg elaborated on why Walters was still in the hospital according to Us Weekly on Jan. 28.

After being hospitalized for a cut to the head during inauguration weekend, she began to run a temperature while in the hospital. After running tests, they found that Walters has the chicken pox. Walters never had it while she was child. Chicken pox can be worse in adults than in children.

Walters was transferred to a New York hospital last week after she found out she had chicken pox. Walters is currently not allowed any visitors.

On Jan. 22 Barbara Walters released a statement thanking everyone who had called, written and showed concern. Walters said she hopes to be home soon. Hopefully she will recover from the chicken pox quickly and will soon be back on “The View.”
