And so Frank Sinatra’s posthumous love triangle begins, or in this case quadrangle, as Woody Allen also chimed in. Representatives of Mia Farrow’s ex told the Associated Press he would not comment on the “fictitious and extravagantly absurd article.”
In a follow-up interview with Mia Farrow, 20 years after the sex abuse case between ex-husband Woody Allen and daughter Dylan erupted, writer Maureen Orth reconnected with the actress turned human-rights activist to discuss life, love and the possibility that Frank Sinatra fathered her biological son, Ronan Farrow.
Tabloids would have readers believe it was Mia Farrow who suggested Ronan Farrow was the son of Frank Sinatra. However, the question was posed by Orth, who asked “point-blank if her biological son with Woody Allen, Ronan Farrow, may actually be the son of Frank Sinatra.” Mia, who had confessed that Frank Sinatra was the “great love of her life,” and the two, “never really split up,” simply answered, “possibly,” although DNA testing has yet to be done to prove paternity. Mia and Frank were married from 1966 -1968. Ronan was born in 1987.
Barbara Sinatra, wife of Ol’ Blue Eyes from 1976 until his death in 1998, has refuted Mia Farrow’s suggestion that Frank Sinatra fathered her son in a phone conversation with the Desert Sun from her home in Rancho Mirage.
I can’t hardly believe that. It’s just a bunch of junk. There’s always junk written — lies that aren’t true.
The soon-to-be 86-year-old Barbara Sinatra went on to state that Ronan Farrow had not been remembered in any part of the Chairman of the Board’s estate.
Vanity Fair questioned Nancy Sinatra Jr. on the Sinatra family’s treatment of Ronan Farrow as a family member. Via email, Sinatra answered, “He is a big part of us, and we are blessed to have him in our lives.”
Ronan Farrow responded to the publicity the Vanity Fair article stirred and tweeted, "Listen, we're all *possibly* Frank Sinatra's son."
There have also been erroneous reports on the age Frank Sinatra would have been if he did indeed father Ronan Farrow, an irrelevant fact considering there have been documented cases of men siring children later in life.
