Barbara Boxer no longer deserves to be a United States Senator for California

Barbara Boxer is a far left ideologue, anti war, card-carrying environmentalist, a big supporter of labor unions and an undistinguished three-term eighteen-year member of the U.S. Senate. During that period she had very few pieces of legislation passed.

Should the people of Northern California  awake from their slumber, the citizens of Santa Ana and the vast majority of Southern Californians will help them defeat her.

Tough and tireless, "Please call me Senator" Boxer is sure to run a very tough campaign. She has plenty of cash on hand and can count on the DNC to provide more.

Had she been a Republican, a full-blown scandal with endless media coverage would have erupted over her arranging to have American Samoa exempted from the minimum wage. Of course Del Monte owns StarKist Tuna both have facilities in the San Francisco.

Boxer, an avid environmentalist, sat idly by as water was turned off to the San Joaquin Valley.  Tens of billions of gallons of water was diverted away from the farming area into the ocean.

This results when environmental legislation puts a creature of little importance, the ‘endangered delta smelt’ conflicted with legislation that Ms. Boxer supported. This of course resulted in the area being turned into a dust bowl; all crops were lost, as were tens of thousands of jobs.

In a Wall Street Journal Report, Senator Feinstein pressed the issue with Secretary of the Interior, Ken Salazar, Governor, Arnold Schwarzenegger was predictably useless, fifty mayors for California wrote President Obama, asking he turn the water on all to no avail. Notably absent was Senator Barbara Boxer.

With her re-election no longer assured, Boxer shamelessly panders to the farmers in diverting $150 million in federal taxpayer dollars towards helping the growers. In the Fresno Bee she stated, "Growers in California have experienced significant crop losses due to an extended period of drought, and these funds will help many get through these tough times," Democratic Sen. Barbara Boxer said.

Now if I have this right, she supported legislation that caused the problem, was not heard from while the legislation caused draught occurred, but now uses our money in an attempt to buy their votes. Wake up call Senator Boxer. It’s not going to work.

Boxer bounced 143 checks in the ‘Rubbergate’ Scandal. Ms. “call me senator,” admitted to not paying much attention to her house bank account. They totaled $41,417 over a three-year period.

SurveyUSA reports Boxer’s job approval rating at 46% as of 2007-11-20. The average approval rating among senators in states surveyed is 53%. See their survey details for more information.

Barbara Boxer missed 818 (8%) of 10,905 roll call votes since Jan 3, 1983.  Boxer is a far-left Democrat according to GovTrack's own data.

Proving her credentials as an idealogue, she vote no for both gulf wars, voted against funding when our troops were in the field, voted three times to cut and run, yet predictable voted yes to Bill Clinton’s war in Bosnia.

Sitting in the first pew of Reverend Albert Gore Junior’s 'Church of Global Warming,' according to The Hill, Senator Boxer believes that the hacking of the e-mails from the University of East Anglia Climate Research Unit is a "criminal matter.” Doubtful she will do anything about it because in doing so it will expose the entire fraud. Could the data have been leaked instead of hacked?

Senator Boxer was a co-sponsor with Senator Bernie Sanders, a Socialist from VT of the Global Warming Pollution Reduction Act 309. In it cap and trade legislation was proposed.

S. 748: A bill to redesignate the facility of the United States Postal Service located at 2777 Logan Avenue in San Diego, California, as the "Cesar E. Chavez Post Office".

S.Res. 292: A resolution congratulating the Park View All-Star Little League team for winning the 2009 Little League World Series championship.

S.Res. 265: A resolution honoring the firefighters who sacrificed their lives while battling the Station Fire in southern California in August 2009.

S. 1754: Home Office Deduction Simplification Act of 2009

S. 2079: A bill to reduce temporarily the duty on acai, uncooked or cooked by steaming or boiling in water, frozen, whether or not containing added sugar or other sweetening matter.

S. 2080: A bill to suspend temporarily the duty on hand blown glass vases.

The above legislation can be viewed on GovtTrack's page of Senator Boxer.

In possibly her most important sounding piece of legislation, the Senate passes 'Boxer Amendment to Ensure No Taxpayer Funds Will Be Used to Bail Out Wall Street." By passing this amendment, we make it clear – in law – that taxpayers will never again bail out Wall Street firms for their costly mistakes.

“The reckless actions of Wall Street led to painful job losses, home foreclosures and the loss of retirement savings and consumer confidence. To protect taxpayers, we will create an orderly process to liquidate failing financial firms and ensure that Wall Street pays to clean up its own messes.”

Falling in line with the Obama administrations need to demonize Wall Street as the "greedy fall guys" when it has been know from video of congressional hearings, key members of the Democratic party lied under oath about the solvency of both Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.

The need by the progressive party to once again be involved in social engineer demanding that banks make sub prime loans to people that would never be able to afford them, was a huge factor.  Of course this entire reality is lost in a progressive adjective, amnesia.

Was it "evil Wall Street bankers" or progressive social engineering with lies told my members of congress that were actually to blame for our current economic woe?

Barbara Boxer is wrong for California, she is wrong for America. As noted above, her legislative accomplishments are lack luster at best, with puff legislation her main contribution.

Boxer tends to be a follower, and can be counted to vote yes on all things progressive. In November let’s show her the door so we can call her former Senator Boxer. In reality as her record indicates she didn’t really work that hard for her "please call me senator" title. Random thoughts while observing the passing charade, I’m J.C.

CA and IL are sess pools of communists in the nation. When they destroy the area where they live, they move to other prosperous parts of the country and INFECT those areas with their Socialist views that are nothing but destructive! CA will be wise to purge the largess of Socialists in their state and Federal gov'ts, Boxer is but a tip of the iceberg of those in CA that need a pink slip! Mr. Campbell has certainly hammers home, the reasons why BABS needs to be replaced in Nov! The rest of the country will help fund the Republican candidate challenger once the primary is held to decide who that person will be.

For the sake of her resume', she ,like others in Congress, need to get some legislation passed - no matter how insignificant it may be. And like a faithful Dem., she takes her marching orders faithfully. In addition, being a liberal, isn't she also a hypocrite ? To round out the package, throw in some arrogance and narcissism.

Ew how do people elect a Barbara Boxer anyway? Have you heard about Mickey Kaus trying to get the Dem nomination away from her?

  • Jim Campbell 2 years ago

Hi Noon Ballon: Nice to hear from you, yes I had heard that, hope she uses most of her money in the primary to defeat her, she is not a nice person, never has been, never will be.

Thanks PM yes we are the home of Henry Waxman, Maxine Waters, Nancy Pelosi, Diane Feinstein, and a dubious Governor.

Hi JJ: As I pointed out she is woeful at best. Her claim of sponsorship of the Banking Regulation was doubtlessly written by her, just became the sponsor for election time. If the bill is exposed for the lie that it represents, it will be another nail in her coffin. I guess they use tape for a card board box. J.C.

Jim, with all respect, you're still stuck in a Left-Right paradigm rather than seeing their collusion together in fascism. Boxer is pro-war and pro rigged-casino Wall Street oligarchy. The war is unlawful, all based on lies, and she sucks-up to it. The banksters unlawfully created credit to gamble way beyond legal limits and should have been prosecuted by both parties and shut-down under conservative bankruptcy laws. But nope. She sucks-up to them, too.

Look-up the term fascism. That's what we have: one fascist political body with a Left and Right arm.

Seems like Boxer is more like a well trained Pit Bull. She has all the trimming's of the lefty leash and show dog tunes. No matter how well behaved and groomed during the show, there's always an indication they will take a poop on the catwalk or pet carrier. Curious did the Big O' give Azar a job? He must have loved his resume.

The way she treated Condi Rice in the Congressional hearings was radically bigoted and disgusting. Ms. Rice maintained her dignity and did not respond, in kind. Boxer is a thug in a skirt, and her being a U.S. Senator is a disgraced to a well-disgraced democratic system of electing panderers and rabble to respresent the people.

@ Carl Herman: I appreciate your comments. Believe me I'm well aware of the Left Right paradigm. I'm also aware that Obama was put in office by those that pull the strings of the big money in the world. I believe I showed clearly and linked the sources that Boxer was only pro war when democrats chose war. Clinton's intervention in Kosovo. For sure she backs Wall Street if only to cover the Dems duplicity in FM/FM. They created they created the SP mortages, the bankers sold them. Reasonable people can agree to disagree about the reason for the war. I have a much deeper belief from intelligence reports I read from Stratfor Reports, we are there to decimate Jihad. Oil, nope, we get it at no favorable price, nor contracts for bidding. We are there to stop Islam. About Boxer being a suck up, looks like she won't need to do that after November with a little luck.
