Barack Obama was born in August 4th, 1961 in Honolulu, Hawaii. In 1967 he would move to Indonesia and stay there until his return to Hawaii in 1971. Obama would live with his Grandparents for most of his childhood. In 1979 he would move to Los Angeles and attend Occidental College. He would later transfer to Columbia University. He would graduate with a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science. He would go on to Harvard and graduate with a Law Degree in 1991.
He would settle in Chicago and work at first for the University of Chicago Law School. He would teach there for the next twelve years. He would also run Project Vote to get people to get out and vote. He would also work with the Woods Fund of Chicago on the Board of Directors.
It was in 1996, where he would start his political career in the State Senate. He would resign in 2004 when he won a seat in The United State Senate and was headed to Washington.
He wouldn't be in the Senate long for when in 2007 he would run for the Presidency of the United States. In 2008 he would become the first African American President of the United States.
Over the next several years he would try and work on domestic issues such as Obama care, NASA, The repeal of Don't Ask Don't tell Act, he favors the same sex marriage act, he has had a hand in the economic recovery of the U.S. when we went into recession. He has added more soldiers to Afghanistan and brought many home from Iraq. He gave the orders to take out Osama Bin Laden. He has not had the best Foreign relations with our friends especially with the fallout of the NSA and their acts of spying.
His greatest challenge seems to have just occurred with the invasion of the Ukraine. His relationship with Vladimir Putin has been steadily going down hill for some time. They don't agree on most things and with all that has happened it seems Obama has not been as strong as he should have been with Putin on the Crimea situation.
With the world watching it is a let's wait and see what happens with all this but I hope he can gain some control over this situation or it may be his biggest blunder as President.
