Barack Obama's soggy vacation re-boot ends with more showers

Hawaii is known for the best weather on the planet. In the past four days, rain has been the staple in the daily forecast. The Island of Oahu experienced four consecutive days of rain. The rainy weather left one of Oahu's most famous visitors, Barack Obama, handicapped in his range of activities.

Although on vacation, President, Barack Obama's duties of his office, don't necessarily stop. The President has daily briefings, on matters that require his immediate attention. Obama has been criticized for taking vacation days, while pressing issues requiring his full attention, abound.

Jan. 4, HawaiiNewNow, writes, "Like many of his predecessors, the President has been criticized for taking extended time off – and for spending millions on, among other things, transportation, staffing, and security. Political experts say criticism comes with the territory."

Obama's vacation time is in-line with other leaders. Reportedly, Obama stacks up against more recent Presidents, at 168 vacation days, to be accumulated over eight years.

President George W. Bush took all or part of 297 days, Bill Clinton took 174 days, and Ronald Reagan vacationed 349 days, over eight years.
