Barack Obama's 50th birthday bash

President Barack Obama will be back home in Chicago on August 3, 2011 for his 50th birthday celebration as hosts a fund-raiser at the Aragon Ballroom – a historic ballroom on Chicago’s north side - with tickets going for as little as $50 a person to as much as $35,800 per couple.  The high-priced tix include VIP seating at a concert and dinner with Obama. 

The bash is to include a concert performance by Jennifer Hudson for a $50 contribution.  $10,000 will get a contributor a photo with Obama at a reception as well as preferred seating at the concert.  $1,000 allows a contributor a premium sectioned seat and a hosted bar.  General admission is $200. 

The donations will go to Obama’s 2012 re-election campaign and the DNC. 

It is quite a contrast from the president's 49th birthday party and dinner held last year on the near north side with select guests such as Oprah Winfrey.

Obama’s birthday is actually on August 4th, however.
