Today President Barack Obama will celebrate his 48th birthday. As a United States President he should have the Presidential treatment right? What could make his special day really stand out in history like John F. Kennedy’s birthday in 1962?
Who can forget Marilyn Monroe coming across the stage clad in a skin tight glittering see through gown. She grabbed the microphone and sang a sultry rendition of “ Happy Birthday Mr. President" followed by a second chorus in the style of Bob Hopes classic “ Thanks for the memories” listing all of his accomplishments.

It seems Obama who is down in the ratings could use a Presidential style “Pep Rally” for his birthday. He has faced an onslaught of adversity inheriting a war, and an economic crisis the likes of which has not been seen since the days of the Depression. In my lifetime I can’t recall a President facing so many issues at one time. We can only hope that our current President is bringing “change we can believe in” and hopefully trust.

How could ANYONE possibly be worse than what we endured during the last eight years?
Happy birthday President Obama. May you enjoy the first of eight birthdays in the White House. Lord know that the country will be better off if that happens. It must be a thrill to have a birthday in the White House. Enjoy, and rejoice with family and friends. You sure deserve it.
