Barack, Michelle Obama beat out by Rio's Brazilian bikinis in 2012 Summer Olympics

Losing is never fun for anyone. Especially if you're the president.

While the city Rio de Janeiro burst into a full-on color explosion over the win to host the 2016 Olympic Games, Barack and Michelle Obama found solace in the whole thing just being over.

The presidential couple had been pushing for a Chicago win in the 2016 Summer Games and had been eliminated earlier this morning, ousted with Tokyo as a potential host.

Celebration happened shortly after for the first South American town to host an Olympic event.

The Obamas had spent most of this week lobbying for C-town and presentations were made by the President himself.

Little did the Obamas know they were fighting a losing game.

According to 105.3 The Fan radio, DJ's today announced that the USA could not have competed with the bikini-clad women of Rio.

Reporter Linda Robertson for The Miami Herald concurs.

In her "Gloves are off" article about the Chicago vs. Rio match-up, Robertson makes the same draw.

"Of course, camera shots of Sugarloaf peak and ``dental floss'' bikinis at Copacabana have their appeal, too," she writes. And it's already happening. 

USA Today reports, "Tourists, women in bikinis and children all mingled in celebration on the beach after the announcement was made."

That would never happen in Chicago.

And while it's not been confirmed if bikini evidence was provided to the committee in an effort to win the bid, we do know Rio is known for their Brazillian bikini bodies.
