Bao Bao baby panda gets roasted at Washington's Capital City Showcase March 4

Baby panda Bao Bao, the Washington National Zoo sensation and international celeb, will be roasted March 4 by The Capital City Showcase.

Sacrilege, sacrilege.

The beloved bear will be ravaged verbally, free, at Capital City's DMV Roast at The Brixton, 901 U Street, N.W., in D.C.

In the Brixton's "Tuesdays with Funnie" March 4, 8 P.M., the role of Bao Bao will be played by comedian Jamel Johnson.

Will JJ be buried or praised for roasting BB? Will Johnson be in black and white face? Panda suit? Might fans of Bao Bao protest? FONZ (Friends of the National Zoo)? PETA? Anti-anthropomorphites? Questions abound.

The Giant Panda cub Bao Bao debuted Jan. 18 at the Smithsonian's National Zoo. She's being viewed by millions of fans on not one but two Panda Cams; has a newsletter; a blog, written by her keepers at the zoo; a Facebook page; and a Twitter feed.

Her social media presence will surely be spoofed in this Capital City Showcase variety show. It'll be their second DMV (District of Columbia, Maryland, Virginia) Roast, held on the first Tuesday of the month.

The DMV Roast first fried Washington Redskins owner Daniel Snyder -- who doesn't.

But baby Bao Bao? Boo, boo.
