Banthecams, the non-profit organization devoted to educating the public about the truth behind red-light cameras, has planned a red-light camera protest in Apopka, Fla. this Saturday, Oct. 12. The rally, which starts at 10 a.m., will take place outside the CVS Pharmacy, located at 65 East Main Street in Apopka.
Banthecams founder Henry Bentley speaks to Examiner about the rally
Protest organizer and Banthecams founder Henry Bentley explained the purpose of the protest to the Tampa Bay Libertarian Examiner, saying:
The protest is two-fold this month. First and foremost is the education of the public as to what is really going on with the red light camera issue. Second is to so the powers at hand that they will not stop us from exercising our first amendment right to the freedom of speech, the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.
