Gary Oikemus, Director of Hotel Operations, announced that the Charlotte Marriott City Center has recently completed a $1.5 million renovation of its meeting and banquet space as well as its four guest suites.
According to Mr. Oikemus, the renovation completely refreshed the hotel’s 9,108-square-foot Grand Ballroom as well as the 2250-square-foot Junior Ballroom. Both rooms received new carpeting, wall coverings, furniture, lighting, and chair reupholstering to create an entirely new experience for meeting attendees to Charlotte. Additionally, the luxury Charlotte downtown hotel’s four guest suites were redone with new carpeting and furniture.
For planners considering a conference in Charlotte, the Charlotte Marriott City Center features a total of 20,000 square feet of meeting and event space with 13 meeting rooms. The Grand Ballroom can accommodate 1,450 attendees for a dinner.
The Charlotte Marriott City Center is situated in the heart of downtown Charlotte, NC. Guests can enjoy spacious rooms with 37-inch LCD TVs and Marriott’s signature bedding as well as completely overhauled wired and wireless Internet. The hotel’s many dining and cocktail outlets include fine dining at Savannah Red Restaurant and Wine Bar, spirits and smoking at Cutter’s Cigar Bar, and a fun and relaxed atmosphere at Champion’s Sports Bar & Restaurant. Other facilities include a fitness center, indoor swimming pool, and whirlpool.
