Those who have read the Wikipedia article on "Here Comes Honey Boo Boo" know that Tony "Crazy Tony" Lindsey was a recurring guest star. As of Jan. 15, that is officially no longer the case.
Matriarch Mama June has her foot down, and has banned "Crazy Tony" because he is truly crazy. At least, the report says, he is too crazy for reality TV, even "Here Comes Honey Boo Boo."
The banning apparently stems from a November stunt that Lindsey participated in. He was arrested for a dangerous prank, scaring people on the side of a freeway by wearing a giant gorilla suit. It had already been reported that Mama June was none too pleased with the report, but that displeasure has now led to a ban.
Mama June said that, for now, she is not comfortable with having "Crazy Tony" appear on the show, a huge hit for TLC. She said, "We love him as a friend ... but that was a crazy story. Not trying to be mean, but we want to keep it [the show] family-oriented." It is unclear if the ban is permanent.
To be clear, as well, Mama June isn't banning a family member. People on the show call Tony "cousin," but he's not related. He's just a family friend.
“Here Comes Honey Boo Boo” returns to TLC on Feb. 10 with a clip show. The Christmas special follows up on Feb. 17.
