Bank of America’s Museums On Us program offers Bank of America and Merrill Lynch credit or debit card holders (along with a photo ID), the opportunity to visit over 150 cultural institutions in over 87 cities located in 29 states, free of charge on the first full weekend of every month.

This year the program celebrates its 15th year with Bank of America selecting participating museums based on interest and location. Some museums participate for many years, while others only participate for a shorter period of time. For the past couple of years Boston residents, and visitors to the area have enjoyed free admission to these Museums:

Starting this weekend, the list of museums participating in the program will change. Both the Danforth Museum in Framingham, and the Ecotarium in Worcester are no longer participating in the program. Joining the MFA, DeCordova and Harvard museums in the program are the Cape Cod Museum of Art in Dennis, the Worcester Art Museum, and Mass MoCA in North Adams. Here’s what you can expect to see this weekend at the new museums in the program:

Cape Cod Museum of Art: opening on April 2 and running through May 29, 2011 are two new exhibits. The first is Penelope Jencks: Eleanor Roosevelt. The second is Naturally Inspired: Paintings Abstracted from Nature.
