With a long holiday weekend comes a celebrity event... in Jersey, because girls like nights out there too! This Sunday, January 16 at 7:00pm, Bangz Salon & Wellness Spa, located at 23 South Fullerton Avenue in Montclair, NJ, is hosting their first of several community outreach events for the Bangz Better World Foundation, in an effort to support the Friends of Books & Beyond Project.
Bangz Salon & Wellness Spa is an award-winning salon with recent awards including: “Salon of the Year” by Salon Today; “Best Salon in NJ” by Inside New Jersey/ Star-Ledger and “Top 100 Salons in America” by Elle magazine. Way to go Bangz!!
Friends of Books and Beyond Project is a tripod educational structure which was successfully created by project partners from the Newark TEAM Schools, Indiana University Global Village and the Kabwende Primary School in Kinigi, Rwanda.
At the Inaugural Gala, there will be opportunities to:
- Meet the star-studded cast members of the Broadway hit, "Lombardi" and TV/Film star Jeremy Sisto (of Law and Order, Six Feet Under, Clueless, Angel Eyes and Waitress)
- Book signing by Batman film producer Michael Uslan and LIVE performance by Pop Sensation Alex Young
- Take in a designer fashion show by Sosphistafunk: The Skirt Co., with hair and make-up done by the Bangz professionals and other entertainment by Richard Reiter.
- LIVE, Silent Auction, featuring celebrity signed items including a book by Queen Latifah, NBA tickets and Lady Gaga tickets, among many other exciting items.
- Learn how your audience can get involved and help support the unique educational organization Friends Of Books & Beyond, as well as the Bangz Better World Foundation.
- Visit the historic Bangz location (see address above), a historically preserved 19th century Masonic temple boasting two unrivaled salon floors, plus an entire floor dedicated to spa services.
- Enjoy hors d'oeuvres, a signature Tequila Bar plus a decadent "Dessert After Party".
In addition, have the chance to interview with:
