Bands Who Should Be In The Hall Of Fame

With the Rock N Roll Hall of Fame finally giving Alice Cooper his due, here are ten bands that should be in the Rock N Roll Hall of Fame but currently aren't.

Pantera- The pioneers of groove metal, the innovative shredding of Dimebag Darrell, powerful drums of Vinnie Paul, and bloodcurdling vocals of Phil Anselmo brought metal into the nineties and did it without the benefit of MTV airplay.

Motorhead-Lemmy. Any band with a personality so strong he transcends his band deserves a slot. That and the fact that without Motorhead there wouldn't be a Metallica.

Guns N Roses- Do I really need to explain?

Judas Priest-Next to Black Sabbath, one of the founding fathers of Heavy Metal and innovators of the twin guitar assault.

Slayer- Fast riffs and dark lyrics, Slayer created their own subgenre of Metal that continues to disturb parents to this day. That and along with Metallica are one of the "Big Four."

Megadeth- Like Slayer and Metallica, a member of the "Big Four." Tounded by former Metallica guitarist Dave Mustaine (You know that but does Jann Wenner?), Megadeth brought politics into Metal and did it with a giant middle finger.

Ronnie James Dio- One of the strongest voices in not only Metal, but Rock N Roll overall.

Rush-The most obvious snub. The godfathers of Progressive Rock. Sophisticated lyrics, precise musicianship, longevity, hits, and one of the greatest drummers ever in Neal Peart, you'd think these guys would be shoe ins. Wrong. In the words of Stephen Colbert, "that's bull sh*t."

Iron Maiden- One of the most powerful and influential bands in the history of the art form, Maiden brought theatrics and the epic to Metal.

Anthrax- The final piece of the "Big Four", Anthrax not only pioneered Thrash Metal but are the unsung innovators of Rap-Metal with "I'm the Man" and their collaboration with Public Enemy on "Bring the Noise."
