Last year, the Buffalo Bandits played the Washington Stealth – this year, they head a bit farther north to Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada to face the Vancouver Stealth on Saturday, March 29th; face-off is at 10 p.m. ET.
While this is the team’s first season in Vancouver, it marks their 15th season in the National Lacrosse League. The team began as the Albany Attack from 2000 to 2003, then moved across the country to San Jose as the Stealth from 2004 to 2009 before heading to Washington from 2010 to 2013.
The Stealth play their home games at the Langley Events Centre, located at 7888 200 St. in Langley. The arena seats just over 5,200 spectators, and is also home to the Langley Rivermen of the British Columbia Hockey League, the Langley Thunder of the Western Lacrosse Association, the Langley Thunder Junior A lacrosse team and five teams from Trinity Western University: men’s and women’s basketball, men’s and women’s volleyball and men’s hockey.
Tickets for the Bandits/Stealth match-up are available through www.ticketmaster.ca; tickets range in price from $27 to $55 (plus taxes and fees – Canadian funds).
