The newest Fab Fourum podcast, titled "An Elephant Never Forgets," features Gary van Scyoc, bass player with Elephant's Memory, the group that performed with John Lennon and Yoko Ono both on record and in concert.
Van Scyoc talks about the Beatles' influence on him, his thoughts about bass players including Paul McCartney, the events that led to the group working with John and Yoko and his relationship with Yoko Ono today.
One interesting anecdote Van Scyoc tells is that the band was in the recording studio waiting to get started. John was on the phone for what turned out to be an hour. Van Scyoc says he was talking to none other than Paul McCartney in Scotland.
