Band brings southern hospitality to Northern Ohio (Photos)

The national rock band, Falter from Madisonville Kentucky, brought
both charm and rock to Youngstown, OH this past weekend. They
performed at two of the cities popular concert venues. Due to poor
weather conditions Friday night, the attendance at The Cellar was a
bit lean. However, that didn't stop them from putting on a show. The
turn out for Saturday's show at The Brick House Tavern would prove to
be alot more successful for the band. Even with lead singer Brad
Wilson feeling a little bit under the weather, there was still an
unmistakable energy in the venue as Falter took to the stage. By the
third song in, people were dancing and singing along. Falter played a
few cover songs before performing material off their debut EP and
upcoming full length album, due out later this year.

In an industry where musicians seem to come a dime a dozen, Falter
steps up to the challenge proving that they are a band with staying
power. On the bands debut EP "Grey Theory" (2012) that was produced
by Travis Wyrick (P.O.D., 10 Years, and Adelitas Way) listeners are
instantly drawn in by its powerful emotional tracks. The lead singer
Brad Wilson's strong compelling vocals on songs like "Perfect
Occasion" and "Cover Me" start off with slower cords and then
gradually pulls on the emotions of the heart before quickly building
to a much faster pace. "Lucid” is a more active rock track, with
heavier beats and lyrics that speak to one's soul.

I was able to sit down with these five southern charmers that make up
the band Falter. Each has their own warm personality, quickly putting
me at ease as we talked. I felt like I'd known them all my life, even
though we just met. One thing I did learn was these gentlemen are
humble and have good hearts. The band shared with me that a portion
of the bands proceeds from their song "Burdens" (Grey Theory 2012) is
being donated to help fight childhood cancer in honor of Lane Goodwin.
Lane was young boy who recently passed away after fighting a rare form
of cancer and gained national attention with his positivity. You can
see the moving tribute to Lane on YouTube.

Falter has had the luxury of of a nice hometown following. In some
cases, fans have had to wait outside because the venue was packed to
capacity. As the word continues to spread about them, they are still
surprisingly shocked when fans come up to them for autographs and want
pictures with them (something they're still getting used to). As
Yanni the bands guitarist stated, "It's a feeling I never want to
forget".

Success is rapidly growing for the men in Falter, so be on the look
out for them in your city soon. If you would like to get some of their
southern charm and be able to follow them on their journey, be sure to
